Book Life

I once looked out to see the day only to see darkness stand still.
The light of the day is gone but, I still read.
The book I read is one of darkness and sorrow.
But, a thrill has risen then falls.
I guess when I raise my head to a single noise,
nothing has changed from this story we live in.
